Just as I feel compelled to answer questions like what is ML, why now, how would my take on this current subject matter , I’d say take the risk and you would know.

I found myself intrigued with this field as soon as I entered college. Every seminar started with an introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and how these domains would be the face of tomorrow. Hence, I took time and decided that I would like to unravel the mystery of ML.

As my obsession with ML grew I found myself getting lost, frustrated and confused often. ML was a large domain to navigate and moreover with the surplus words which flowed through with each and every article that I came across, my helplessness grew.

I soon realized that I was mistaken in my approach to the subject and I needed a plan to navigate through the world of ML .

During the research phase I found out that though it was “the trending thing” and everyone had an individual take on it, there was no perfect definition of ML as it was growing and evolving with many other fields that were getting tied to it like AI, Deep Learning, Neural Network and so on.

I am taking you through my journey, to assure you that it would be okay to trust me on this. There is no better teacher than mistake and failure. Hence I believe that I have learnt from the best.

I envision our blog to be the road map that I had needed back then and hence would give my best to make this learning experience one of the best ones in your lifetime.

With the help of our blog I want to make navigating your way into the world of ML a comfortable, frustration free and fun experience for you all.

ML in very basic terms would come down to learning or training a model based on the previously collected data to predict the future estimates . The idea is not to difficult to understand as it is not very abstract like every other domain out there.

ML becomes the face of tomorrow by being versatile and incorporating itself in every domain ranging from business to education to medicine.

The medical ML based chat bots providing the prevention and cure of predicted illnesses based on current symptoms via the in-built ML models have changed and saved lives for better in the dire times. ML based movie and song recommendations make us believe that ML has its roots everywhere.

Now would be a great time to get yourself into this field of ML. Since the industry is booming and bursting with data from every activity and transaction taking place over the net; the data has become a very powerful resource which needs to be managed carefully leading to a lot of job opportunities in this area. This can be implemented with the help of ML.

ML can be implemented with python or R programming language. Python is easy to learn and implement , having a widespread application hence giving us a head start into this domain .R would be useful for the prediction of the statistical data and probability model i.e. to manage the mathematical aspect of ML.

ML comprises of three main sectors or you would say that you need to be proficient in any one of these and good in the rest two, this will determine your strength sector and the track you would be choosing to pursue. ML has a mathematical-statistics and probability based aspect, a computer science i.e. the implementing language aspect and the business or experience based aspect i.e the domain you would be working in .

So either you are a good mathematician, or a good programmer or have vast experience in a particular business field this is the area you can pursue. Even for beginners, this is a great domain to get started with as you need no out of the world prior knowledge.
