The locusts then made their way to Sudan causing a food crisis in the African Nation.

On 9TH of February, a stat came out that stated that Coronavirus-related deaths topped SARS-related deaths with the number crossing 810 mark with around 35,000 known cases. The first major coronavirus outbreak in Europe started on 23rd February in Italy with 153 cases and 3 deaths putting whole continent on notice. Chinese leader Xi Jinping described the virus as the largest health emergency since 1940s.
Violent protests erupted on Sunday, 23rd February, in New Delhi after new citizenship laws were introduced. At least five people were killed and about 90 were injured in clashes in the capital during protests. Monday’s clashes were among the worst seen in Delhi since the protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) began in early December. India’s capital has been a hotbed of protests against the law, which eases the path of non-Muslims from three neighbouring Muslim-dominated countries to gain Indian citizenship.

This led to accusations that Modi and his Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were undermining India’s secular traditions. The BJP denied any bias against India’s more than 180 million-strong Muslim minority.
