Three months passed but this year’s relentless events continued throughout April. Bollywood two of it’s greatest actors in Irrfan Khan & Rishi Kapoor on 29th & 30th April respectively. American NFL legend Mike Curtis died on April 20th and baseball world lost Steve Dalkowski on the before that.
Just when we thought things cannot get weirder, videos justifying the existence of UFOs were released from Pentagon. On 28th April, US Department of Defense releases three declassified videos of possible UFOs from 2004 and 2015.

In April, number of COVID-19 passed the 3 million mark and world went into the state of recession with a thread of events related to virus, economy, conspiracy theories, bans and international relations happening almost everyday. After USA was named the one-third of the total number of cases around the word, Donald Trump took the centre stage by making certain gestures. Firstly, American President stopped funding for the World Health Organization pending a review, for mistakes in handling the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic and for being “China-centric”, prompting international criticism. Trump also labelled the virus man-made which scientist later revealed to be a false contemplation. On April 23rd, Donald Trump made it to the international news channels again by suggesting that coronavirus might be treated by injecting disinfectant or UV lights into a human body at a White House press briefing although the government officials and disinfectant companies quickly stated that doing so is not only extremely dangerous but potentially deadly.

On 30th April, Russian prime minister Mikhail V. Mishustin revealed that he has COVID-19 while South Korea reported that no new cases were found for the first time. On April 18th, French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle became the centre of attention by reporting 1000 cases. On 7th day of the month, China ended the 76 days lockdown in Wuhan after reporting zero new cases for the first time.
In India, the virus was on a slow rise. PM Modi extended the nationwide lockdown on 14th April till 3rd May. On 16th April, BCCI suspended popular IPL T20 indefinitely.
We moved into May hoping that this was the worst quarter of the year, but only if we knew.
