We dived into May with hopes and prayers but the month gave us a devastating prison riot on the first day itself. On 1^st May, a prison riot broke out in Venezuela which left more than 40 dead and many injured at Los Llanos jail.

On 27^th May, the locusts took another step further as they invaded India after invading Pakistan and Iran bringing a great deal of dread for the already upset farmers.

May 25^th 2020 marked the beginning of a saga, The George Floyd Saga. A video of African-American George Floyd’s arrest and murder while restrained in Minneapolis police custody showing that he was pinned to the ground by police officer Derek Chauvin’s knee for 8 minutes and 46 seconds was released which ignited widespread condemnation and nationwide protests. In the next couple of days, protests increased significantly as Minnesota Governor Tim Walz declared State of Emergency in Minneapolis and activated the Minnesota National Guard.
